The RFA Girls bowling team took on the Lady Warriors from Whitesboro high school Friday afternoon to capture a 9-2 victory in what was Rome’s final home match of the season.
Leading the way for Rome was Emily Matt who rolled a high game of 228 and new career high series of 602. Other high rollers for Rome were Mary Kathryn Weyant who bowled a 576 series, Sadie Falcone a 564 series, Isabel Whiting tossed a 552 series and Jessie Fulgieri added a 517 series. Rome earned its highest pin total of the season of 4257 and Whitesboro’s earned a total pin count of 3676 respectively. Rome’s TVL record advances to 9-2 and 11-2 overall on the season.
The Lady Knights will be back in action on Tuesday January 31, when they travel to Pin O Rama Lanes in Utica to take on the Lady Spartans of New Hartford. This will be Rome’s final match of the season. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m. following New Hartford’s pre-game Senior night ceremony.
